Beds & Bucks Hunt Sabs may have only recently appeared as a discrete group, but the people have been about for some time. Fresh off the back of last season's highly successful sabbing operations, we have sabbed as many of this Summer's Mink Hunts as we could, travelling from our central base to join with Midlands and Northern groups, as well as operating in conjunction with Southern, South-Western and London groups. A priority will be to maintain an effective presence in the cull zones throughout the government's misguided badger cull this year, as we did last year.
It occurs to us that we need a suitable vehicle to transport sabs - something with a bit of carrying capacity, a bit of ground clearance and some off-road capability. One of our sibling groups has offered us a suitable vehicle at a very sensible cost, but in order to purchase it, we need ... money.
Duh! That's something we don't have - we have the will, the capability, the enthusiasm and the ability to save wildlife from the barbaric hunts and the dastardly cullers, but we just don't have the wherewithal - or, come to that, a vehicle! We have covered over two thousand miles so far this Summer and are scraping for cash - if you could give us a hand up, we'd really appreciate it and it would establish B&BHS as a serious force in the field, with all-round transport.
