Vegan Campaign on the Athens Underground

We have an ambitious goal, and we need your help…

Inspired by the success of advertisements on public transport in other major cities, we decided to launch a similar project on the Athens underground.

For 28 consecutive days, an entire train line (totaling around 200 posters) will be packed with informative messages showing the public the truth about our diet, and aiming to motivate them to learn more about the violence behind our daily meals and about the moral and environmental consequences of our everyday choices.

It is the first time a vegan initiative of this magnitude has been attempted in Greece. We know it won’t be easy, but the potential impact is certainly worth it.

In total, we need to raise € 7,440.

Specifically:

The cost of advertising for 28 days amounts to 4,000 euros plus 24% VAT, ie 4,960 euros.

The cost of printing and putting the posters up in the carriages of an entire train line, by a company with safety certification, comes to € 2,000 plus 24% VAT, ie € 2,480.

As you may know, Greece has, for the past few years, been going through a crushing financial crisis that has put enormous pressure on Greek households. Unemployment and poverty are at record high levels. Yet, we have a very active and passionate vegan community.

We are growing, and we are constantly trying to get the message out there. And Athens has been at the centre of activities and events. We are asking you to help give us that extra push we need to get this project off the ground. Even the smallest amount can make the difference.

If the money needed is not raised, we will attempt a smaller campaign, or the money will be refunded.
