Vee’s EDventure International Fund

Hey there!

I am fundraising myself to volunteer in Cambodia with EDventure International in January 2014!

So part of this volunteering exchange program or placement is fundraising and I would like to ask you all to sponsor me for support. The TARGET is $2950 by NOVEMBER 2013 and the money goes into the service they provide for my accommodation, meals, project resources, transportation in-country, and a donation to the community.

With your donation, you are helping me as a dedicated and awesome volunteer to contribute to help people in Cambodia. My main purpose is to gain an understanding of the needy people in their everyday life which be will beneficial for working in humanitarian sector in Architecture.

For the Edventure volunteering program, I will be directly involved in creating positive change in these communities by supporting:

• Education: teaching groups of children reading and writing skills, art, and organizing sports and group activities.
• Village infrastructure: Bio-Sand Filters project - which works by filtering water through sand and gravel making 98% pure water. This involves helping out sorting sand, sifting gravel, pouring cement moulds and painting the filters.
• Sustainable agriculture: Empowering these local communities by tending to plants, vegetables and other cash crops such as mushrooms and gardens for reseeding plants.

To make it possible for me to volunteer in Cambodia, even if it’s just a small donation will be appreciated! Remember, I’m not treating this as just travelling – I will be physically working hard to help others!

So what do you get when you donate?

Its nice to give something in return, so I decided to pick up my grandpa's old business in making topiary frames (animal wire frame for gardens) !

$25 = SMALL SIZE (2 - 3 days to complete)

$50 = MEDIUM SIZE (3 - 5 days to complete)

$100+ = LARGE SIZE (7 - 14 days to complete depending on the shape and size)
