Campaign Story
The Corona Virus has brought business to a standstill on the island of Mamutik in Kota Kinabalu, so we have decided to donate our glass bottom boat to do charity education tours for school children and their parents.
The aim is to show & explain to them how a coral garden works, how it supports the ecosystem and its vital roll in the life cycle of fish.
By showing them healthy coral, damaged coral, and the devastation of fish bombing we hope to drive home the importance of conservation and preservation of the oceans, and their coral reefs. The boat is equipped with a video display, and audio system for additional information.
The boat is a 13 m (45ft.) aluminium landing craft designed in Australia with 4 watertight bilges. The seven viewing bins are independent of the hull so they cannot compromise the boats buoyancy even if the 10mm safely glass was to break. The boat is fitted with modern electronics, and all the safety equipment as specified by the Australian Department of Transport (DOT).
The funds raised go towards the docking, maintenance and running cost of the boat, as well as salaries, transport costs for the school children, brochures, and advertising banners. The target set covers expenses for one year. As we already started visiting schools, and talking to the principals, any and all donations are greatly appreciated, and we need them as soon as possible.
We are not just investing in the future of our children, we are also investing in our planet for future generations.
Your generosity will be greatly rewarded by appreciation of these children. Thank you.

Educating our children around the world makes our world a better place for all. Thank you Carel, and Bea for donating your boat, and time selflessly in this time of health scare, and loss of business.
