Van for our kids basketball team ZAMET

Hello everyone,

I am a mother of a 9-year-old boy named Niko, who has been playing basketball for his local club in Rijeka for past 3 years. This club is a local club named Basketball Club Zamet (Košarkaški Klub Zamet), bearing the same name as this part of the city of Rijeka, known by basketball and handball clubs. In the last couple of years, a few sports lovers are trying to revive the old times when all the children practiced sports and went on game days to watch the big ones play the game.

Currently, there are approx. 60 children, boys and girls. The club's goal is to coach, educate and give the children healthy physical and mental growth. All of that are doing only THREE enthusiasts from the club, who are volunteers! One of them is a famous Zamet's kindergarten teacher from the kindergarten Zamet called Vlado :)

When they get old enough, kids play the regional league so they need to travel to the games. All of the traveling is done by parents and of course our coaches! The locations are not always so close, so they even need to go to islands of Lošinj, Rab, Krk, etc.

It is impossible to cover all of the expenses, so as a mother of a boy who loves to play basketball, I had an idea to help them finance a small van for driving them to games . The van that would be appropriate is an 8+1 passenger van. Of course, they would look for a used one with as few miles as possible.

The monthly membership fee for the kids is really the lowest possible (13 EUR), and that's why it is impossible for them to collect money that way.

A couple of years ago, the club managed to transform the old and ruined basketball court into a new and modern court with new hoops, backboards, new flooring, and even courtside seating; for everyone to play basketball on! All of that would be impossible without their time and energy which they invest into our children.
