Be galo be krašto norime nufilmuoti klipą naujai dainai – tai – dabartinis kūrybinio užmojo žingsnis, kuris, atėjo iš stipraus vidinio paraginimo. Jau nuo pat pirmųjų etapų, matau, kiek daug palaiminimo sluoksnių turėjo susidėti, kad atsidurčiau šiame momente. Nuo pat dainos atsiradimo, kas yra visa atskira istorija, iki jos įrašymo, kas yra dar viena istorija :D Iki pakalbėjimo su Martynu (režisieriumi), kuris nusprendė pasiūlyti kūrybinei komandai (ir jie sutiko!!:D) imtis šios dainos vaizdo klipo kūrimo, iki neįtikėtinai palaiminto lokacijos ir nuostabiai geranoriškų jos savininkų suradimo, iki nuostabios kūrybinės komandos, dirbančios iš širdies, iš polėkio, iš tikėjimo, kad mūsų bendra kūryba atneš išliekančią vertę... Tad jei trumpai, tai viso to nebūčiau ėmusis, jei nebūčiau mačiusi palaiminimų kiekviename žingsnyje. Tad tikiu, kad ir toliau viskas bus gerai, ir kad kažkodėl, iš to kaip klostosi, drįstu manyti, kad Dievas palankiai žiūri į šį mūsų užmojį, ir patepa geru aliejumi visus jo vyrius...:) Taigi, apie ką mes...

Su operatoriumi, režisieriumi, scenografu ir stiliste norime apvilkti dar neišleistą audio įrašą "Naujas rūbas" tikru nauju - vaizdo - rūbu. Ši kūrybinė komanda jau kuris laikas pažįstama, o ne taip seniai suvienijo jėgas kurti kartu. Sujungę savo stiprybes, jie jau sukūrė puikių bendrų video darbų (www.subkinas.com). Šie kino poetai kuria klipą naujai mano (Karolina Mint) dainai, kuri buvo įrašyta kaip LMTA kompozicijos studijų (magistro antrojo semestro) baigiamasis darbas, kurį nusprendėme išleisti. Liaudies motyvais kvepianti poezija, švelni melodija ir styginių kvartetas šokantis su klavišais ima virpinti širdies skilvelius, o vaizduotė piešia rugių laukus... O tas piešimas gimdo svajones! Mes tikime muzikiniais klipais, ir kad jie suteikia muzikai dar bent vieną papildomą porą sparnų į klausytojo širdį (o kartais ir visiškai tą kelią atveria), o kadangi tikime ir daina, leidomės į smegenų audrą (brainstormą, vadinamąjį), kaip gi nupiešus visas tas muzikos idėjas vaizde. Pamąstėm scenarijų (žinoma, daug kartų perrašėm, bet jau turim galutinį), pasvajojom, pradėjom dėlioti detales, tartis su scenografu, kaip bus įmanoma įgyvendinti tas pašėlusias idėjas. Galiausiai, išsigryninome pagrindinius vaizdus. Jeigu labai trumpai, tai esminis klipo vinis, kuriame vyksta veiksmas – tai „magiškas“ kambarys, stovintis vidury „laukų“ – per langą pievos, o jose - pagrindinės veikėjos prisiminimai, perkeliantys į jos minčių pasaulį.. Būsime ne tik laukuose, bet ir kitose netikėtose vietose... Šie vaizdai pasakos dainos istoriją, tiksliau, tam tikrą jos interpretaciją. Tad šiek tiek apie dainą.

„Naujas rūbas“ parašyta pagal draugės (Robertos Dirgėlaitės) jautrią ir švelnią poeziją. Žodžiai, melodija ir harmonijos turi subtilių tautinių motyvų. Apipinęs šią dainą lietuviškų šaknų grožis joje išsaugo tai, kas rezonuoja kiekvienam lietuviui, dar nevisiškai atitolusiam nuo savo istorijos, o šiuolaikinės muzikos ir vaizdo meninės priemonės, tikimės, padarys tą grožį „įskaitomesnį“ ir suprantamesnį ir šiuolaikiniam klausytojui. Taip pat, būdama lietuvė, noriu atskleisti lietuvių kalbos grožį per naujus meninės (vaizdo ir garso) raiškos atspalvius, tuo pačiu, per turinį kreipdama ir į santykį su šeima, namais, tikėjimu, grožį.

Žodžių ištraukos:
„Rugių laukas, vėžios plačios... Bėgu basa link namų. Tavo balsas švelnus šaukia – „Mielas vaike, rink grūdų“. Aš žinau, brangus Tėveli, kad malūną Tu suki. Kursi krosnį ir iškepsi skalsios duonos padalint...“

Ši daina pateko į finalininkų dešimtuką 2021 metais vykusiame konkurse “Vocation music award”, susilaukė daugybės komisijos teigiamų vertinimų bei padrąsinimo realizuoti šį kūrinį profesionaliam įraše. Tikiu, kad (komisijos žodžiais) Lietuvos klasikų kompozicijos stiliumi parašytas kūrinys galėtų įkvėpti daugiau Lietuvos (ir ne tik) kūrėjų semtis idėjų iš liaudies ir iškiliųjų lietuvių kompozitorių lobynų.

Taigi, kadangi vaizdo klipai sustiprina dainose esančią žinutę, (o ir šiaip, esame įsitikinę meno ir kultūros paveikumu žmogui), tikime (ir trokštame), kad ji būtų padrąsinimas mūsų visuomenei (ir už jos ribų). Ypač šiuo laikmečiu, kai nemažai nerimo dėl ateities, rūpesčio dėl dabarties, yra vertinga kalbėtis apie tai, kaip svarbu turėti vieniems kitus, stiprinti tarpusavio ryšius, remtis į tikėjimą, viltį, bei prisiminti, kad esame mylimi.

Didžiausi kaštai – dekoracijų įsigijimas, nuvežimas ir paruošimas (vyko mini statybos:), kuras, dainos suvedimas, ir visų prisidėjusių žmonių didelis ir atsidėjęs darbas – šie menininkai, ši komanda, galiu patvirtinti, dirba iš visos širdies, ne dėl varnelės....dėl visos gulbės, o gal net pterozauro, jei Dievs duos...:) O šiaip, turime išlaidų sąmatą, jei kam įdomu:) Apvaliai paėmus – suma kurios mums reikia – apie 2000 EU. I am thrilled to the tips of my socks to be shooting a clip for a new song!!!:) This is the current step of my creative dream, which came from a strong inner call. From the very first stages, I can see how many layers of blessing had to come together to get to this moment. From the beginning of the song, which is a whole separate story, to recording it, which is another story :D To talking with Martynas (the script author), who decided to offer the creative team (and they agreed!!:D) to take on the making of the music video for this song, to the miracle of finding a blessed location and its amazingly generous owners, to an amazing creative team working from the heart, from the drive, from the belief that our joint creation will bring lasting value... So in short, I wouldn't have taken all of these steps if I hadn't seen the blessings from the very beginning… Thus, somehow, from the way things are going, I dare to think that God looks favorably on this ambition of ours, and anoints all its hinges with good oil...:) So, what is this all about.

With the cameraman, director, scenographer, stylist and many others who are joining, we want to dress the unreleased audio recording "Naujas Rūbas" (New Robe) in real new - video - robes. This creative team has known each other for some time and had already joined forces to create together. By combining their strengths, they have already created some great video works (www.subkinas.com). These film poets are creating a music video for a new song by me (Karolina Mint), which was recorded as the final work of my first year LMTA (music academy) composition studies (master's second semester), which we decided to release. Folk motif-smelling poetry, a gentle melody and a string quartet dancing with the keys start tingling the ventricles of the heart, and the imagination starts drawing the fields of rye... And that drawing of imagination gives birth to dreams! We believe in music videos, and that they give music at least one more pair of wings to the heart of the listener (and sometimes they completely open that way), and because we also believe in the song, we entered a very particular – brain – storm, and thought for a while how to draw all those music ideas in a video. We thought about the script (of course, we rewrote it many times, but we already have the final one), we dreamed, we started putting together the details, we discussed with the scenographer how it will be possible to implement those crazy ideas. Finally, we decided on the main stuff. To be very brief, the essential “nail” of the clip, where the action takes place, is a "magical" room standing in the middle of the "fields" - through the window we see a meadow, and in it come alive the memories of the main character, transferring us to the world of her thoughts.. We will not only be in the fields, but also in other unexpected places... These images will tell the story of the song, or rather, a certain interpretation of it. So a little about the song.

"Naujas Rūbas" was written based on the sensitive and gentle poetry of my friend (Roberta Dirgėlaitė). The words, melody and harmonies have subtle folk motifs. The beauty of the Lithuanian roots wrapped around this song preserves in it something that resonates for every Lithuanian who has not yet completely distanced oneself from their history, and modern music and visual artistic tools, we hope, will make that beauty more "readable" and understandable for the modern listener as well. Also, being Lithuanian, I want to reveal the beauty of the Lithuanian language through new sides of artistic (visual and audio) expression, at the same time, through the content, addressing the relationship with family, home, faith, beauty.

"The rye field, the fields are wide... I run barefoot towards home. Your soft voice calls out - "Dear child, gather grain." I know, dear Father, that You turn the mill. You will kindle the oven and bake bread to give it away for sharing..."

This song made it to the top ten finalists in the "Vocation music award" competition held in 2021, received many positive evaluations from the jury and encouragement to realize this piece in a professional recording. I believe that (in the words of the jury) a work written in the composition style of Lithuanian classics could inspire more Lithuanian (and not only) creators to draw ideas from the treasures of folk and eminent Lithuanian composers. Nevertheless, the values and the message of the song is ageless and transfers any national boundaries.

So, as the music videos reinforce the message of the songs (and we believe in the power of art and culture), we believe (and desire) that it is an encouragement to our society (and beyond). Especially in this era, when there is a lot of anxiety about the future, concern about the present, it is valuable to talk about how important it is to have each other, strengthen mutual ties, rely on faith, hope, and remember that we are loved.

The biggest costs are the purchase, transportation and preparation of the decorations (there was a mini-construction:), fuel, mixing the song, and the great and dedicated work of all the people who contributed - these artists, this team, I can confirm, work with all their heart, not just to tick it off as done.. Anyway, we have a cost estimate, if anyone is interested:) Roughly, the amount we need is about 2000 EU. So...God willing :)

And as always - I offer an exchange - I still have my CD’s, but there really aren't many of them left, the second edition is also at the end, but I will be very glad to give them to whoever would like to have a tangible exchange of the offering :)
