Uviwe SSS Choir

This is a request for donations towards Uviwe Senior Secondary School Choir's (Scenery Park, East London, South Africa) mission to take part at the 11th World Choir Games that will be co-hosted by the cities of Antwerp and Ghent, Belgium between 05 and 15 July 2020.

Our school is one of many schools from the disadvantaged townships of the Province of the Eastern Cape; the school is listed under Section 21 (according to South African Schools Act), which are no fee schools that cater for children from underprivileged communities.

However, our choir has been doing outstandingly since it was formed, and is thriving against choirs from well-developed schools when it comes to participating at schools music eisteddfods.

Being part of the World Choir Games will certainly open a window for our choir members to interact with singers from different cultural, national and racial background. We believe that there's a lot that they will learn from being part of such highly esteemed choir festival.
