Usit Longhouse Rebuild

On January 20th 2015, the Usit family of West Malaysia, Borneo had a catastrophic fire in their indeginous Iban Longhouse. Thankfully no one was seriously injured, but the 12 Door Longhouse (townhouse) which provided shelter to the Usit and extended family, was completely lost. As siblings of the family residing in Canada, Caroline and John are seeking to help raise money for a smaller 4 Door Longhouse. This will permanently shelter Carolines' Mother (Indai), Father (Apai), Sister Catherine (and Husband Sini), Brother Jessy (and wife Linda, with kids Jenna, Jitta and Jili) and Brother Nelson (with Wife (Jati) and Natasha as their daughter). Some extended family will also form the final list of people dwelling in this new Longhouse, including our little 2 year old dancing star (Teh Ta tunde) Drizella, who will dance again in her new home.
