About My Campaign I am a 16 year old high school student and I have a dream. I dream to obtain a career in which I could work hands on with marine animals and take steps to help increase their chances of survival. But, I live in Vermont where there is no ocean or facility where I can spend time with, or learn from, marine animals. In order to get the training I seek, I must travel. So, I am planning a trip to Florida, through my school’s Personalized Learning initiative, to earn credit and learn more about training and captivity at state and private aquariums. I will also work with a graduate from our high school who is a trainer. I will be working with her to gain skills and gather information about my future opportunities. I would like to begin a career in marine biology because I want to make a difference. I really want to address the issues of survival and extinction that result from the toxic environmental conditions that challenges marine life. By going to Florida to work with these animals, I can study what types of conditions they need in order to thrive and how we, as people, can work to meet those needs or help marine animals adapt and survive. I strongly feel that this opportunity in Florida is pivotal and could change the rest of my life. I’m a reliable, accountable, and avid student. If I had this chance to follow my dream, I assure you, it would not be wasted. What We ( my Mom and I) Need Plane Tickets- ~$700 Baggage Fees- $100 Food- $200 Gas-$100 Florida Aquarium Tickets- $40 Sea World Tickets- $200 Florida State Park Tickets- $26 I have free housing thanks to relatives  If I don't reach my goal, the funds will be saved and put towards this trip once I have enough to go.  The Impact Thanks to your help, a young person would gain the skills and training needed to begin a career which would be dedicated to the support and wellbeing of marine animals. Without help, I’d never get to leave Vermont to achieve my dreams.
