I am writing my first book and need your help. I am a single parent of 3 little girls ages 12months(Shayla), 4 years old (Reagan) and 6 years old (Skylar). They are the love of my life! You always hear.. "Parenting doesn't come with a manual!" And this is true! Not only is it true.. but even if there was a manual it could not possibly fit every child's personality, needs and different parenting philosohies! I began starting the rough draft a few years ago introducing a new way to think about parenting. The thinking that "well.. when I was little my parents did it like this... " Doesn't always work in today's modern world. We have evolved, and the world has learned so much more about the human condition, and there is much more information out there that our parents didn't have. We now live in a world with not so traditional family models and this also effects parenting styles. My situation is even more so in this way because my view is that of a single mom doing this on my own! Besides the therapy writing this book gives me, I hope to empower and educate Single parents everywhere! I am also currently unemployed.. and while writing has always been my passion, I now know that writing this first book about what I've learned from my kids is my destiny! I hope this leads to many more books to follow! I am putting every fiber of my being into become a published author and to support my beautiful family doing so!!
