Physical Therapy Colombia Service Trip 2015

In May 2014, four Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students and one physical therapist traveled to Barranquilla, Colombia to provide physical therapy services to the small town of Santo Tomas (population 2,000), where many of the locals were in desperate need. After one week volunteering at an outpatient physical therapy clinic, they were able to learn valuable lessons and their desire to pursue physical therapy was solidified. One year later, they plan to return and work with pediatrics, neurology, and orthopedic patients. They need to raise $5,000 to help fund the trip and equipment for the clinic.
