US Army Veteran and single father is seeking help with raising funds to pay lawyer to get his good name back after being falsely accused by ex-wife and her boyfriend.

In mid-2017 I divorced my ex-wife after learning that she was involved in an extramarital affair with another man. Just before I filed for divorce, my ex-wife moved in with the man that she was having an affair with. At the time our daughter was 2 years old and she stayed with me. When the divorce became final, I retained basically full custody of our daughter, with my ex-wife seeing her every other weekend.

Although my ex-wife was the one that caused the divorce and she was the one that moved in with a man that she had only known for one month, leaving our daughter with me, shortly after the divorce she starting making demands that I allow our daughter to go live with her. I refused. Our divorce was final and the custody issue had already been dealt with. And I told her that the custody arrangement was in the best interest of our daughter. Because I refused, she started making threats.

About two months later she called me on the phone and stated, “I’m giving you one last chance to hand her over.” Again I refused. A couple of days after that phone call, my ex-wife and the man she moved in with filed Petitions for Temporary Injunctions (Requests for Restraining Orders) with the Court. They also filed a false police report alleging the same things as they did in their Petitions. Both of the Petitions they filed were full of lies and misrepresentations of the actual facts. The Petitions filed by my ex-wife and the man she moved in with were maliciously motivated and done without probable cause to file them. Their intention was to attempt to lodge a complaint that would mark me as a danger and therefore make it easier for my ex-wife to attempt to regain custody of our 2-year daughter.

Too often in divorce cases around the country that involve custody issues, the practice of fathers being accused of domestic violence and other improper behavior is common place. And as a result, even if the claims are never proven, it leaves a negative public record in that the complaints were even filed.

But I intend to fight to address this injustice that was done to me by my ex-wife and the man she moved in with.

Any assistance you can provide to help me fight my legal battle to get my good name back would be greatly and sincerely appreciated.
