WHY AM I FUNDRAISING?
Hello potential donors. This fundraiser is to try to help a 13 year old boy Zachary, (known affectionately as Ziggy) get back into education. A series of unfortunate circumstances meant his mum, Dru, was unable to keep up with payments of his school fees and the school have withdrawn Ziggy from the school. Ziggy has a chance to get his place back at the school provided the current arrears and also next year's fees are paid off and this is why I am asking if people could please help by donating any amount they can, even as little as £1 or $1.

WHO IS ZIGGY AND WHY DOES HE NEED YOUR HELP?
Ziggy is a 13-year old boy who was lucky enough to have passed the entrance exams to get into a fee paying school in England. As a child from a non privileged, minority background, this was a personal triumph which would see him being given the best chance at securing a promising future. Ziggy is very bright and has always had a natural aptitude for learning. His school reports always note what a happy, smiley, child he is - popular with his peers and with a solid and supportive network of friends. However, with the loss of his place at the school, he has become a very different child. He has become very withdrawn and timid. He was never bullied at his old school, but he is now in an environment where he's exposed to intolerance and bullying and has been a constant target of bullying. Losing his place at his old school has meant losing a valuable chance of achieving academic success and to be out of the environment that brought the best out of him. His whole future could be impacted negatively and for this reason we would like to try and get him back to the school where he was provided with the opportunity to reach his true and full potential and where he was happy and safe.

THE IMPACT OF YOUR DONATIONS.
Your donations would help get Ziggy back into his old school.
The impact on him would be enormous - i.e. given the chance to be back in an environment where he was not only at his happiest, but also where he was given the instruments to reach his full academic potential. It would restore his confidence and prevent the downward spiral that he is on. Giving Ziggy the chance to get back to his old school seems like the easiest way to fix the broken boy he has become. I also believe in the CHRISTINE ATKINS QUOTE: " Anything that helps and opens an avenue ….should be encouraged." Getting back to his old school would re-open the path to a good education and close the door to an uncertain future in an environment where knife crime and violence among the youth has become normailsed.

DONATIONS THROUGH PAYPAL.
If you are happy to donate, could I ask you to please donate any amount you can, even if it is $1 or £1? Every little helps and will be gratefully appreciated. Donating through PayPal offers his mum, Dru, the easiest and quickest access to funds, allowing her to pay the school urgently. The school have asked for immediate payment and I can't think of any other way to try and raise funds quickly than through crowdfunding.

IF YOU NEED TO SEE PROOF.
For any potential donors who wish to see some proof of previous school reports, invoices, correspondence , etc, that supports Ziggy's story, please email me using the contact facility on this fundraising page. Dru is reluctant to share her son’s private and sensitive information on a public forum, but she has given me permission to share some documents as proof of her son's current situation to any serious potential donors. She really needs all the help she can get, but she is also desperate to protect her son as much as she can.
