I bought my car 4 years ago and it's now almost 16 years old. It gave me a lot of trouble but also a lot of good memories. And as hard as it is I don't have a choice but to change it. The bottom of the car is all rusty and ful of holes, the exhaust system needs to be changed, the engine isn't working like it should and much more. It would cost me more than I paid for the car to repair all that and even if I would it's only a matter of time when something else would break down.
The biggest problem about all this that I don't have money at all and I am the only one in our house with a driver's licence and a car so I can't live without it. I'm a student and for the past year I've been repeating my first year at university and it wasn't necessary for me to go to lectures as I only had to pass a few exams. So I had a lot of free time and I was able to work. I only earnd about 400€ per month which was just about enough to cover my expenses for the month. That's why I wasn't really able to save any money. And now I started my second year at university and most of my lectures are mendatory so that doesn't leave me much time for work but I have a great boss and we were able to come up with a plan so that I will be able to earn about 150€ per month which will cover at least my expenses for gas since I have to drive 30km (each way) to my university and back every day.
I was exploring the option of getting a student loan but they are very difficult to get here In Slovenia and even if I would be able to get one it would probably be far to less to buy a decent car that would last me at least untill the end of university. I would also have to pay back the loan in one year which I have no idea how I would do since I would earn only 150€ per month. I can't get the money anywhere else. The student loan is my very last resort but I dread even trying to get it since it would only help temporarly to buy a car but it would financially (and also mentaly) burden me for a long time after that. I also tried freelancing (I study graphic design) but I didn't have much succes since I didn't really have enough time to do it properly. I also started exploring my passion for sewing and I learned to sew the cute drawstring backpacks made of fake leather and cotton canvas fabric which are very popular here. I wanted to start selling them but I legally can't beacuse I am a student and I can't register as a trader. I am at dead end and really don't know what else to do.
I would very much appreciate any donation that I would get as it would help me very much.
The first picture is of a car I would wish to have and the rest are pictures of the car I have now, taken about a year ago, showing the condition of my car.
