John Mwangi (Newspaper Vendor) Medical Fundraising

Hi friends and well-wishers. Please join us to assist in raising funds for our brother Mr. John Maina Mwangi (the newspaper vendor) who has been battling cancer on the right side of his head for the past few years since 2015

John has already undergone 11 chemotherapy sessions but unfortunately, has not been able to finish the chemotherapy sessions due to insufficient funds. The cancer has not backed off though, is relentless and the swelling has even begun to ooze blood and pus. It is interfering with his speech and breathing

He is financially unable to afford expensive cancer treatments and radiation therapy, and still needs more cycles of therapy amounting to roughly $8500 or €8000 £6500 (Ksh 850,000). This is for the expensive chemo and radiation drugs, hospital stays and aftercare treatment needed to treat this aggressive disease. Urgent treatment and intervention is needed today for him to start treatment at the Texas Cancer Center. This is an ongoing treatment for several months to one year depending on the beneficiary tumour's shrinkage and cure.

No one knows what causes this kind of tumor, but Mwangi has maintained a positive outlook to life. Hope and perseverance have been the defining moments of his story as he struggles to make ends meet as a newspaper vendor. Mwangi is the sole breadwinner of his family with young children.
