About two months ago we adopted Manga from a shelter in Paluchu in Warsaw, but after the adoption it turned out that she could not be sterilized because we can hear murmurs in her heart. We went with her for a heart echo examination and it turned out that she had a heart defect. Manga is a warrior who has been fighting adversities bravely for a long time, but we are afraid that she may not have enough time to experience full happiness and fulfillment in life. From a medical point of view, it is a unique and rare dog that lived to this age with such a serious heart defect. Most puppies do not live to adulthood with her. Statistically, 1 in 1000 puppies are born with her. The older the dog, the greater the risk of death during the operation, so we collect money for a less painful and less invasive operation, one that will give the Manga more chances of survival during and after the operation. It can be made in Wrocław and it is very expensive, we are not able to finance it from our own resources in such a short time. Its cost is PLN 2,000. Euro (PLN 9,000), without taking into account the prices of drugs, later control visits and the costs of commuting to Wrocław. We are terrified of losing another beloved dog. Two years ago, our female Lara passed away due to illness. Our hearts would burst with regret. Manga is a wonderful dog girl we fell in love with at first sight in a shelter. She is incredibly smart, joyful and cuddly. She has the whole, wonderful, long life ahead of her that she deserves if we just give her a chance and operate on her heart. Despite her young age, she had gone through so much. She has pellets under her skin, which indicates that someone shot her with an airgun. Someone burned her with cigarettes on her back which she has scars and her hair will not grow back. She also experienced months of hunger and, with a normal weight of 20 kg, weighed less than 17 kg. There is very little time and we would like to ask for your help. For us, every zloty we are grateful for is very important. Please help us save Manga. The operation must be performed as soon as possible. The manga is entered for the first available date on October 22 at the Vetcardia clinic in Warsaw at the cardiac surgeon Dr. Niziołek. He is currently taking the drugs Furosemidum and Cardisure. A letter from the Manga: “Dear man, dear people, My name is Manga and I am less than 1.5 years old. I am a descendant of many purebred dogs, in short: a nice mix. Some people call me Pies Dingo, although I think I look the closest to a Basque Shepherd or Spanish Podemco (due to the long, protruding ears and the stature of the runner). I'm not too big and I reach to my knee, but I have extra large ears which make me hear everything a man says to me, a long tongue so I can kiss it thoroughly, long legs which make me as fast as a cheetah and I can walk behind him like a shadow and endless layers of love. I love eating, running and playing with other dogs. I love people and animals. For the former, I will do everything I can, obey every command and not leave them for a step. These are the people who saved my life, gave me my real home and a love so great that I could not imagine existed, and that I always wanted. But it wasn't always as good as it is. Here is my story: When I was born I met my dog mum and my siblings. I remember if it was yesterday that our puppies were chased, wrestling and tug of war. One day people came for me and gave me back to the human family. It was then that I met a human pup and its father. The girl was nice to me, she hugged and stroked me. I was growing, and with me my new teeth, which made my gums itch, so I had to chew on various objects. One day I was playing with the girl just like I used to play with my siblings. I thought then that she is the same puppy as me, just a little more human. Maybe I did something wrong, maybe I pinched her too hard, I don't know. I quickly realized that I made a mistake. We were separated and we never had fun again. Later, I also made many mistakes, for which my body hurt a lot later. The most important thing is when you put out my cigarettes or hit me with a stick. Then I learned that you must not stand at a human table when there is food on it, that you must not step on couches and beds for people, and most of all you must pee on the floor. I remember everything like a fog, but then it was only worse. I did not know if the Lord got rid of me, because the girl was afraid of me, or if no one loved me anymore and did not want to. I was kicked out, homeless and lost. I was still a child, but I had to grow up quickly to survive and not starve. At the beginning, for a long time I was looking for a way back to the girl, to apologize to her and convince my father that I would improve because I love people and want to stay. Even nowadays, when I see my father and his daughter walking by the hand of his daughter on the pavement more than once, I instinctively jump out on a leash to come closer and recognize their smell. But the smell turns out to be alien and I remember that now I have a different, new home and a wonderful family. I don't want to remember the nightmare I went through. For weeks I tried anything to eat, my hunger kept me from thinking. Somewhere in the distance I could smell roasted sausages and pancakes. My sense of smell was guiding me. At the back of two buildings, I could find leftovers from a pizzeria. I don't understand people throwing out delicious pizza tips. I often dined on them. There is a school and a playground nearby. When I saw a group of children, I followed them. I was hoping to find my little girl among them. I had no idea and I did not know where to go, so I sat next to this school and waited for the bell, after which the kids played with me and sometimes gave me delicious sandwiches. In the park next door, someone was feeding the pigeons with bread, so I spread them around and ate their food. Since then, I really like bread, my favorite delicacy. One time I was wandering around and suddenly I felt a piercing, crushing pain on my ribs (which could already be counted with the naked eye) and in several other places. Someone was shooting at me and metal bullets were digging deep into my skin. Crying, I started running ahead, hopefully far away from this terrible place. I was afraid of everything, people and machines. I did not know how long and I do not know where until I found myself on Święciańska Street, next to the Pizzeria. This is the only place I knew so I decided to stay there. As the days went by, one day I looked around and noticed someone crouching next to me with a juicy pizza in his hand, still warm pieces of meat glistening on it, and he served me. The hunger was stronger than the fear, so I got closer and started eating. It was then that the uniformed people put a collar on me and drove me to a shelter for homeless animals on a toe. I saw and heard trapped dogs everywhere. Listening to the sounds of their crying, barking and calling, I was sure that I was gone. But luckily the people who picked me up from the guards turned out to be nice and kept telling me that I was a good dog. I was completely calmed down when they gave me a bowl full of food. In the next few days the fear was completely gone. Every day I walked with a full belly and finally started gaining weight. I met my aunts from the Group 13 shelter who used to go out with me to explore the area and nice people who came especially to me. I got treats and strokes from them. One of them turned out to be my Human Mom and Human Dad, with whom I lived and I am happy. They taught me everything and explained without hitting and bullying what is allowed and what is not. I keep getting rewards from them when I do something good. I stopped chewing things because I have a lot of different toys and a big, comfortable clean bed. They gave me a new name and my life began all over again. I am grateful to everyone who extended a helping hand to me. For the best people in the world, I want to be the best friend in the universe, a dog they will always be proud of, a perfect dog, a dog without faults. I wish I had no defect and I would like to live without a defect of heart. Fate put me to another hard test. I have to undergo heart surgery, without which the doctors say that I have no chance of surviving the next 2 years. With each beat, my heart grows larger and may stop at any moment. I can't run a lot because too much blood pours into my lungs and I have coughing attacks and I choke. People have already shown me that they can be great, that I am not useless and unnecessary, that not everyone is evil and that it is worth believing in good. That is why I believe that also this time there will be people who will open their hearts and save my heart. I am asking for hope and a chance to reach old age by Your side, Man. " Manga "PS. I promise that I will repay every stranger by wagging my tail at least, and licking my hand with the possibility of stroking my belly. " Manga
