After surviving a demolition. Arya was found under a pile of rubble in Egypt. A few kind humans rescued her and took her to safety! She is currently fighting infection and needs to be properly seen by a veterinarian! The shelter can transport her to New York where she can be transported to Indiana.
TurboRoo and his family hope to drive to NYC and bring Arya back and provide her a safe, happy home to heal.
Arya is one of the many handicap animals worldwide that deserves a second chance at life! Help us help her!
Egypt has campaigns to poison street dogs
It is not uncommon to see piles of dead dog carcasses lining the streets. Sometimes even a dead mother with still nursing puppies.
Breakdown of initial cost:
Arya will need to be vaccinated and checked by the doctor before flying, then she will travel to Cairo from Port-said, Egypt which costs about $50. The crates are unfortunately really expensive in Egypt because they aren't common ($80). There is a flight parent for each trip, they bring several rescue animals. The ticket fee is $190 for Arya to get on the plane, from there, there are vaccinations($20), health certificate($10), flight parent share (unknown but usually like $30) and trolley cart fee ($10)
That is a rough estimate based on a previous rescue. Not including helping us get to NYC and back!
Breakdown of trip cost:
Rental car: to NYC and back to Indiana estimate from Hertz Rental: 457.78$ (200$ refund when returned. We plan to use this toward any vet bill needed once home safely)
Gas: (Picture of estimate included) we are estimating $200 to NYC and $200 back to Indiana this is a rough estimate!
Very roughly the basic needs are:
400$ Egypt to NYC travel/care etc.
200+200= $ 400 gas
200$ refundable deposit + $257.78 Rental car!
Total: 1,257 and some change!
This is bare minimum! Not to mention if we have any vet care in New York or on the way home! We will need help with her care once we get home so if we exceed our goal we will be focusing the rest on her vet bills.
We will be updating daily and keeping everyone in the loop!
Thank you so much for helping! Sharing with friends and positive vibes are very much welcome!!!!!
I am looking into possibly taking supplies to donate to the shelter in Egypt to take back with them.
I will know more on that soon!!!!!!
