Help us fight the "bully boys".

We are in litigation with the surveyor we used when purchasing our boat. We started legal proceedings last December, and have already paid thousands of pounds to our solicitor to fight our case, and to the courts to register our claim. Most of this was raised by loans and credit cards. We are now nearing the point where we have invested too much time and money to stop the litigation, but have exhausted most of our options to fund the next lot of costs.

Litigation costs and fees have to be paid up front, we don't have the option to "pay later". We have a strong case with several experts on our side and need to see this through to the end.

Two years ago, in readiness for our semi-retirement, we followed our dream and put all our savings into purchasing a boat. We did everything correctly, took our time in choosing the right one and getting the survey done by a recommended surveyor. The survey highlighted a few minor repairs that needed doing and we went ahead with the purchase.

When the boat was taken to the yard, we were told that there were several major repairs that needed doing. These were not mentioned on the original survey and the expected cost was way over our budget. We had another survey done which highlighted even more issues. We were told by our original surveyor "sorry, I missed a few things, I have insurance, sue me".

So we did. Unfortunately, his insurance company are doing everything they can to delay proceedings and drag this on unnecessarily. They are using "big boy bully tactics" in the hope we will drop the proceedings. We cant let them get away with it. Our sanity and probably our marriage depends on it.
