Urgent Help Needed For 40+ unemployed Female Workers And Their Families! Matter Of Life And Death

Hi this is a fundraiser to try and help around 40 girls and their families here in Thailand. I'll start by explaining what we are trying to achieve, why we are doing this and who we are doing this for.

Thailand's workforce/opportunities is very much limited. The Thai girls end up working in bars and go gos from an early age to make money and send home to their families who mostly live in poor villages. Now Thailand is in lockdown they are suffering really badly, and so are there families from babies 3 months old to grandparents 80+ years old. Food and medicine is needed urgently to survive the current times during covid and hopefully we can help these families.

Up To now the bar owners have kindly helped support the ladies with whatever spare resources they had but now they are financially struggling themselves, closed up due to lockdown in Thailand and moved on. The girls are stuck in the city with no government help whatsoever. Business here in Thailand was closed from March 2020 till July 2020 and then again December 2020 till now. Thailand relies heavily on tourism. No tourism no money! Average wages before Covid was around 5,000 thb ($160) a month and out of this they have to eat, sleep and help their families back home in the villages. (It's not enough to survive on with young kids and older parents not working at all)

We can't help the world even tho we would love nothing more! But these girls we know personally, they are vulnerable and need to get home to there families. They are currently sharing a few rooms all bunking in together. worse than a thai prison. No beds, no blankets, no fans, not much drinking water or food!! We are not asking for much, but if we could raise enough to tide them over until this global humanitarian disaster is averted.
