Urgent Help for Baby Chelsea Hunter

Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well today.

My Name is Julito Estomago Jr., 30 years old, from Bulacao, Talisay City, Cebu Philippines. Currently employed at Concentrix, a BPO Industry company located here in Cebu City, going 6 months for my regularity. My soon-to-be-wife’s name is Ma. Ella Sayson who is the mother of our child. She used to have a small business “karenderia” but now, staying to being a full-time mother who takes good care of our baby 24/7 while I’m at work.

I am knocking on your good and generous hearts in making this fund raising for my only child who is now a 3 months old baby, Chelsea Hunter Estomago, who was diagnose with “Bilateral Congenital Cataract both Eyes”.

Our baby Chelsea Hunter was born on 03/10/2022, and undergone a cesarean birth operation in Vicente Sotto Hospital here in Cebu City. Actually, me and my partner were very relieved that the operation was successful. She is such a very healthy, cute, and adorable baby. She always makes people smile and at the same time, provide us her laughter after a month. Our pediatrician was overwhelmed of the developments of our baby time to time.

2 months passed by, we noticed that she only stares at the bright light side of our room, and usually she only gives us her smiles and adorable laugh as her reaction. So, we assumed that everything was normal. And, for the past days we come to notice that our baby could not make proper eye contact or stare at an object properly. However, we have observed that she only follows sounds or voices to people near her. And, yet we still thought everything was fine because in every appointment with our pediatrician, the results are all normal.

Fast forward, last 6/23/2022 Thursday night, my partner was making jokes stating that our baby will not keep focus and stare at her, and I told her that she was wrong, our baby is fine and can focus on our faces while we cuddle her every night. But after all the cuddle and laughter, I’ve noticed that her two 2 eyes have a small white cloudy circle. And, suddenly my heart starts to race because I know deep down inside in my mind that there may be something wrong with her.

In regards to what I have witnessed, I could not sleep well and even think properly. So, I’ve researched on Google about a “3 months old baby with white cloudy circle in the eyes”, and was terrified of what I’ve seen. I called immediately our pediatrician to schedule an appointment. By the time we got to our pediatrician’s clinic, she immediately checked our baby as part of their procedure and concluded that she was all fine. Lately not knowing, that our pediatrician already noticed that something was wrong with our baby’s eyes by the time we stepped inside her clinic. Once everything was almost done, I told our pediatrician to kindly double check on the eyes of our baby. After checking, suddenly she stopped and noticed that there is something wrong both her eyes since it was difficult to notice at distance.

She directly told us to go to Chung Hua Hospital – Eye Institute and referred us to an eye specialist/doctor who will take check and assess our baby. So, with-out hesitation, I did call the office of the doctor to schedule an appointment on that week which was on 6/30/2022 Thursday, and YES, the schedule was confirmed.

By the time we arrived at the eye doctor’s clinic, she directly checked both eyes of our baby and suggested that we need to undergo an ultrasound procedure for our baby’s eyes to be further examined. After the procedure, she concluded that our baby has “Bilateral Congenital Cataract both eyes” and urgently, urgently, urgently, needs an operation as soon as possible to avoid further damage to both of her eyes and make her able to see clearly despite her infant age/stage.

The cost of the operation is approximately P150,000.00 in Philippine Peso.

I am asking for prayers and any financial aid to help with baby Chelsea’s operation. I am hoping for any help as my income cannot suffice all the expenses.
