Our situation becomes desperate very fast! We started this fundraiser on 6 July. Sadly, it still hasn't reached our target and we are struggling IMMENSELY! This month we couldn't fulfill our obligations to buy enough food for all our rescue and colony cats. This is our saddest reality! There are only 3 days left till the end of September. Bulgarian Stray Cats Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre (BSCRRC) is run by a small team of dedicated animal lovers. We rescue, treat, rehabilitate & re-home Bulgarian cats in distress. Right now we desperately need help to buy emergency supplies of cat food and to pay some of our outstanding vet bills.

Rescuing is never easy, but during the past 4 months it has become extremely difficult and we are not coping. Our last fundraiser did not reach its target. It ran painfully slow and raised only €945 for 2 months! We simply cannot meet all our expenses and without support will be forced to feed our rescue and colony cats with bread only! And we won't be able to provide vet care for them. This is how dire our current situation is!

In Bulgaria, the stray cats are the most neglected of all animals. On the streets they live in misery & die in agony. The kitten on the title photo epitomizes their suffering! For her our help arrived too late but for many others we were on time and made huge difference. Such a recent case is SAVING MAMA FEYA & HER KITTENS. The feline family was in great danger on the streets. One of the babies disappeared and we will never know what happened to him. We rescued the rest of them and although we've lost a second kitten due to illness, we consider our rescue operation a success. We found the most wonderful, forever home for one of the babies - CAPPUCCINO and placed in a great foster home mum Feya and Diamond - the other kitten who survived.

We are trying to help as many of these forsaken animals as we can. Our goal is to ensure a safe place for all our rescues - for the healthy ones, that are waiting for their loving adoptive homes and for the unadoptable ones due to sickness or injury, like GLORIA, OUR DISABLED SWEETHEART.

We also provide food and medical care for colonies of street cats and have over 100 felines under our guardianship at any given time. We need to place an urgent order for food and other essentials. Please, donate as much as you can to this urgent fundraiser.
