This campaign was created to help a young fellow human being, who suffers from serious health problems that led him to lose his leg.

Vassilis is a 38-year-old farmer who lives alone in a rural area of the prefecture of Etoloakarnania located in Western Greece.

In 2012, his big toe was amputated in his right foot due to peripheral angiopathy, an incurable condition. Since then he has made a great effort not to lose the rest of his right foot due to the disease, but about 5 months ago the same problem appeared in the left foot. The result after many months of doctors trying to save the leg was amputation, in the first phase completely below the knee. Unfortunately, due to the poor progression of the disease, he had to undergo surgery for the second time and be amputated again above the knee.

The whole time he stayed in the hospital he suffered especially because of unbearable pain in the leg but also because he was not able to take care of himself without the help of the nurses. At the same time, all these months he was not able to work, as a result of which he did not receive any income to support himself. To be able to get back on his feet he will have to buy $ 15,000 worth of prosthetic limbs for his foot. However, being forced not to work again due to his problem, he will not be able to cover such an expense, as well as the hospital treatment expenses that exceed 7000 dollars.

We ask you to contribute in any way you can so that Vassilis can walk again and take life in his hands again.
