Campaign Story
I Am making this campaign to gather funds for the urgent eye surgery of our baby Peter Paul. Our son was born prematurely at 28 weeks last June 29, 2018 at Cebu Maternity hospital. As per ultrasound result, the baby's position could go for normal delivery. But unfortunately my bag of water ruptured earlier than what was expected, (expected due date~Sept.5~Sept.11) so I was admitted and had emergency CS. My baby was left in NICU. Our family spent a total of 200 thousand pesos plus for our hospital bills due to a lot of complications and infections both the baby and the me. My Baby was admitted again just after a month for another infection. Our family is heavily burdened financially because only my husband, Clint is working for the family.And just yesterday, they found out that my baby is in stage 5 Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) and eye surgery is needed immediately. Our current finances could not really suffice the needed amount for the surgery.
Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a potentially blinding eye disorder that primarily affects premature infants weighing about 2¾ pounds (1250 grams) or less that are born before 31 weeks of gestation. Stage 5 ROP is describe as completely detached retina and the end stage of the disease.If the eye is left alone at this stage, the baby can have severe visual impairment and even blindness

Please take a look in my campaign...I really needed your help... please please please help me and my wife. My name is Mohammad Masud Alom, I live in Bangladesh, I am 24 years old, I am married, my wife’s name is Kobita Khatun, She is 21 years of age,we are married to both of us, we are married for more than a year, two months ago suddenly my wife got hurt I used to be more painful when I came to come, I see the doctor, I have been taking medicine for a few days, so I have been taking medication for a month, but after that one more problem Which is the problem, the problem is that my wife’s ankle touches the palms of the feet and the palms of the feet are very strong, I can not sleep at night, I have to cool down on ice for many nights, my wife is having trouble in the night, I have seen 4 to 5 doctors. And I wanted to know that the problem is, but I can not figure out the problem, I am discussing with them and the doctor has told me to say I can go and spend a lot of money, but now I am in a situation that there is no money to go to India, I love my wife very much, I request you to have my request. hi everyone! update as of today.. after a blood transfusion of 50cc, baby peter paul’s hematocrit is now normal. we are given a clearance to proceed with the surgery. we are admitted here in chong hua hospital, cebu city. schedule of surgery will be tomorrow (oct.18) at 230pm. surgery will last for about 3-4 hours under GA. we continue to ask for your prayers. it would be difficult to deal with this situation without the grace of God and the power of your prayers. we know that the baby is under the care of cebu’s best doctors and the great loving hands of God. support is overwhelming, God truly used His people to be a channel of blessings. we are still a long way to go but we are so grateful and blest.
