  • NTIMI HOME OF HOPE KENYA. Ntimi Home of Hope is a charitable community-based non-profit making organization registered in Kenya, whose intention is to bring change by engaging closely with community members and local leaders in our programs, we are based in Nairobi county, Embakasi West sub-county, Umoja Inner core.
Ntimi Home of Hope was born out of a call to serve the needy and less privileged in the society. We want to continue serving in humility by touching lives. OUR MISSION.
To provide a stable foundation that is rooted in education and health care for orphaned, vulnerable, deprived and destitute children who lost their own families. We provide a loving and safe family environment that enables children the right to a happy, educated and skilled life. OUR STORY Many people in the world easily take for granted the positive things that life has offered like a family, an education and a place to call home. But there are millions of children in Kenya who are abandoned, orphaned and vulnerable."My mum told me that I was only three weeks old when my dad killed himself and my mother remarried. I did not get along with my step dad so my mum decided to bring me here at NTIMI HOME OF HOPE" - Laura Levi, a destitute class three pupil. Laura is among 340 children currently housed and being educated by NTIMI HOME OF HOME. We get children through the District Children's Office, the community and others from the streets. Founded 13 years ago, the home offers residential care to 340 children.
The home is providing residential care to the children and arranging for learning facilities in nearby schools from nursery to form 4. We also provide medical check ups, books, uniforms, nutritious diet, recreation and play facilities. Getting sponsors for the home is not easy. We are however faced with a myriad of challenges like inadequate books, beds, mattresses, food, school fees, sanitary towels, blankets, mosquito nets and medicines. Although there are free primary education and free tuition secondary education programs, many destitute children in Kenya still lack the opportunity to go to schools due to lack of other basic requirements like school uniforms and books. "Many people think that being in a children's home you cannot succeed but to me life is just a matter of self belief because when I did my KCPE last year, I didn't imagine I could get 416 marks(out of a possible 500) - Quincy Timberlake who wants to be a civil engineer. OUR APPEAL. Help us give Quincy and other destitute children education, a home and a future.
