Urban Collectors

We are Urban Collectors, a street art and graffiti community center in Bucharest and we aim to: facilitate an open dialogue between street art and communities; create opportunities for street artists and grow their visibility/exposure; organize workshops and festivals on street art and graffiti; produce books, periodicals, audio-video documentaries and research on street art & graffiti) and we want to continue our project for the next year.

This is what we have done so far:

FREE LIBRARY:
- free access library: over 100 publications on: street art & graffiti, graphics, illustrating, community art, urban art, participative art, international volumes, volumes from socially involved female artists, volumes on the theory of social/participative/feminist art, magazines, articles, newspapers, e-books;

PROJECTS:

Make a Mark - street art and graffiti projects for disadvantaged children
GraffitiA web platform – www.urbancollectors.ro/graffitia
- online platform dedicated to street art and graffiti female artists: more than 100 portfolios, interviews, articles, with female artists in: graffiti, street art, illustrating, graphics
