Campaign Story
To fund urgent roof repairs at Upton by Chester Royal British Legion We are the last British Legion Club in Chester We support the Poppy Appeal, Remembrance day and support the Royal British Legion Charities for serving and ex-servicemen in need.. Our Branch recently donated £20000-00p to the Poppy appeal, Lister House, Byng House (rehabilitation homes) and Cheshire County Benevolent fund. The Club cannot use branch charitable funds to repair the building, hence this appeal. We have an ageing and declining membership which makes it difficult to raise sufficient funds to cover unexpected repairs. You can join the British Legion online at a cost of £17 per year or by ringing 0808 802 8080. Membership entitles you to use the facilities at our club which includes two snooker tables, darts, bingo, weekly entertainment nights and a friendly atmosphere. You do not need to ex-services to apply for membership.

My Name Fahim, My father suffered by kidney diseases his left kidney totally stopped working. Medical assistant said that he have to need a daialasys for live. Now he is admit in a hospital and need a kidney . His creatinine point is (10.08) ,in this age this problem is very agonizing diseases . In our family my father is the only one person who earn for my family. But this time my family situation is very pathetic moment for his illness. I live in London I am a student I live here for study and work a shop. My father helped me for my study but at this time a have no scope for study because of my father sickness . I need money for my father . I need a big amount for my fathers treatment . But I don’t have a little much money for this . I beg you all please help me . I want money for my fathertreatment . Doctor said every weekshe need daialasys for this diseases . But in this situation there is no scope for money for this treatment . So if you all help me I can treatment . Be a son I want to help him. My request to all Brothers, Sisters and all the age of (fathers) people please help me. I want to help him there is no scope but I think all people can help me . Many happy memories. From working behind the bar in the early 70's, particularly on Sunday nights in the concert room with their "star" turns, and learning to play snooker, to Friday nights in the Jim Pearson lounge every time I went home for the weekend. The Legion was home from home for my Dad (Len Vincent) for many years and my Mum and Dad loved this place. I hope you can keep it going!
