Here in Beirut Lebanon, with a lot of refugees nowadays, the volunteers in the EMS stations are doing their job perfectly with their basic materials and environmental conditions.
One year ago, I used to be a volunteer at the Emergency medical services department. All the EMTs (Emergency medical technician) are volunteers, they serve people without any benefit 24/24, 7 days a week. People seek their help, holding tears in their eyes seeing them as the heroes who will save lives.
As approximately on a daily basis, there is calls for CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation); where we do our best trying to make their hearts beats again. These manual chest compressions will not be as efficient and effective as an automated compression system specially when there is long distances.
Because performing manual chest compressions of high quality is both difficult and tiring, and impossible in certain situations, The LUCAS Chest Compression System is a safe and efficient tool that standardises chest compressions in accordance with the latest scientific guidelines. It provides the same quality for all patients and over time, independent of transport conditions, rescuer fatigue, or variability in the experience level of the caregiver. By doing this, it frees up rescuers to focus on other life-saving tasks and creates new rescue opportunities.
Getting a CPR robot, like LUCAS 2, would help the EMTs to save more lives ... Let us help them rescuing more and more souls! They dedicate their lives to save people without any benefit, they deserve a better technology to rescue everyone!
