EFFECTIVE EDUCATION TO SAVE THE PLANET.

University of Earth is a reality television series that will benefit the benefactor, the participants and humanity globally.

The exponential sudden rise in 2015 of global temperatures to near the critical 1.5 degrees C and the report that our sea is de-oxygenating rapidly as a result make it imperative to educate and gain the cooperation of all the world’s citizens in the process of changing the systems so that we may have a chance of surviving beyond 2030. The University of Earth course is a palatable fast education that covers all the aspects of life on earth so that lack of understanding will not continue to impede our chance of changing the systems to bring about a sustainable future and survive.

The content is a comprehensive ecological education featuring a core group of at least eight students who do the whole course plus potentially others from different parts of the world who can only do some of the course. They gather at Monkey Valley Resort Campus for 2 months of lectures and travel throughoutSouth Africa for another 2 months to confront what they are learning in context, get hands on experience of ecologies and cultures and devise a range of possible solutions to global issues on camera.

Monkey Valley Resort is a visually spectacular setting for the films; situated in arare Milkwood forest overlooking the 8 kilometers of unspoiled Noordhoek Beach in Cape Town. The course makes maximum use of the spectacular variety of surrounding scenery, world famous celebrities and experts and competition for which projects should get sponsored for implementation to keep world audiences watching.

Half the period is an amazing trip through the ecosystems of Southern Africa ending up at Victoria Falls where celebrities join the group to present the new systems they have devised to the world. Southern Africa’s amazing ecosystems, peoples and animals will also be featured.

The lure of this series for the global audience will disseminate knowledge of how systems interconnect and unite us all on a find solutions-implement platform.

To this end, we include basic environmental law, communication skills and deep ecology, and patterns from the history of life on earth as well as what is happening now in our current extremely damaging economic and cultural systems worldwide.

The course is being billed as the most comprehensive course on earth and covers all aspects of life. These will be some of the first students of earth to understand the past, present and future, ocean and terrestrial, macro and micro, visible and invisible, in the context of interactivity with one another. And the world will be watching and participating in the solution finding processes.

The teachings will be presented by some of the greatest minds of the world; authors, scientists, significant people of knowledge and experts who are developing and implementing solutions globally. Due to the urgency of our global dilemma, filming will commence within one month of funds being received.

Beyond the intellectual content there are the experiences to devise optimum low impact systems of health and nutrition. Students will learn different systems of exercise and note the effects on their bodies, come to understand what constitutes proper nutrition with celebrity chefs in the foodie segment of the show during lunchtimes. They will learn about natural health and healing for humans and animals.

After the 6 month course which could be re-broadcast year after year as a complete teenage and adult education, the University of Earth Television series will follow our participating students, both live and global, to discover what they do with the knowledge they have gained and our cameras will witness the projects, communications, environmental initiatives, court cases, innovations, films, works of art, performing arts and musical works they produce to carry their messages to the public. Basically watch us saving our world.

The aim of the University of Earth is enlightening viewers and so engaging the interest, ideas and cooperation of the world to implement a sustainable future which will, for the first time effectively address poverty, ill health and environmental destruction.

FUNDING

We are looking in all for R 10 000 000 (GBP 600 000 or $750 000 or EUR700 000) donation to Brave Green World (completely tax deductible due to the pending section 18A and section 21 status of Brave Green World.) This will be used for film series production.

In return we offer

Billing on television and internet for four years as the sponsor/patron. We estimate about 723 programs of an average of half an hour. The programs will also be continually available on the internet to educate generations of people worldwide. We will also make them available to schools and television and satellite channels.

If you did not want to recoup the tax deductible aspect from the funding, we could also offer advertising, and/or exposure on vehicles etc,

Partial funding is gratefully accepted for negotiated benefit for the funder depending on whether the tax deductible aspect is desirable or not.

Since the series is to be offered on a free to air basis as well as on the internet, we believe the reach of the information and the exposure will be even greater than the current satellite television channel that will be flighting the series.
