University fees

Hello,

My name is Katrina,I am 19 years old and a first year student at Case Western Reserve University in the U.S.Due to COVID-19 and other financial struggles I was unable to travel to America to start the first semester but I hope to be able to travel in January 2021.At the moment I am studying online but I have been unable to pay my school fees(about $15000 per semester) and can't apply for a Visa yet.I graduated from high school in May 2019 and deferred my university entry to spend a year volunteering with a community centre and church in the UK. This opportunity taught me so much with my biggest takeaway being the importance of being involved in your community, serving it and doing your best to better it while constantly appreciating it for all the beauty it holds. I have always said I want to do something meaningful in the world, something to help but I don’t think I fully understood what that meant until now. To do something meaningful in the world is to do something meaningful in the community you are blessed to be a part of. This isn’t going in with a saviour mentality. Rather, it is seeing all the gifts and the beauty that your community has to offer and making choices to serve in a way that enhances them and brings light and life to your community. My community is Kenya and it is my hope to serve it. For me to be able to do this I need to get educated to learn, grow and develop the skills to do this in the best way. This is why I am at university where I am a pre-med student taking courses that will lead me on a track to medicine and eventually to serving in the healthcare field. That is the contribution I want to make. With this motivation in mind, I refuse to let financial issues stand in my way. My hope is that you will partner with me and donate as much as you can to help me on my journey to grow into a person that will make a meaningful contribution to her community.I know that I will be immensely blessed by any contribution!Thank you for partnering with me!
