University Fees

Good day all

My name is Gift Alifandika , i am a Zimbabwean ,currently residing in Capetown. I am the eldest in a family of 3 . My parents due to the political situation in Zimbabwe lost everything we had.Because they opposed the government .My dad was a major in the army and he had to run away as his conscience could not allow him to harm innocent white farmers.he had been tasked to evict them from farms using deadly force ,but he declined and a warrant of arrest was issued for him and subsequently while in absentia he was tried for treason and then death for failing to abide.He went into exile and we followed him to South Africa in fear of being killed and as well i could not afford to advance to higher education in Zimbabwe as the fees at the Universities is pegged only to accommodate the rich and elite as such they was no funds for me to initiate my first degree so i had to work as a gardener in South Africa.I was able to meet good people who employed me and from the money i made i was able to put away little by little until i had enough to pay for a degree with University of South Africa for a 3 year degree it took me 6 years to finish it as i persevered sometimes going to bed hungry, i eventually managed to finish my degree with the grace and will of Allah in 2017. I am the fist in my family to graduate. as my siblings are also at University now i help them with the little money i have for them to advance their dreams of studying.All i know is education , i cannot steal or kill to raise money to further my education . the university of the Free state has accepted me to do my honors in African studies and i am well aware that i cannot afford in time to raise the R23,000 they want by January as i also look after my parents. I appeal to peoples hearts to help me with whatever they have for a village boy from the dusty streets of Zimbabwe to advance further with my education as i am of the perception that education will lead me to a path where by i can look after myself and my parents as well as my community as i do not only belong to my parents but the community i hail from.
