I am Sikelelwa Qutu, a 24 year old final year Bachelor of Technology( Civil Engineering) student at the Central University of Technology.
I developed a passion for Civil Engineering when I was in grade 11 so it ia a career I went into with love. I am passionate about the upliftment of communities throughout infrastructure development. My focus is on people and I work diligently to see the fruits of my endeavours making a positive difference in society. Adequate service delivery is something close to my heart.
I have previously served as the Vice Chairperson of the South African Institute of Civil Engineering Student Chapter .In 2015 and 2016,I received awards for the Best Transportation Engineering Student and Best Documentation Project.
In 2017,I graduated for a National Diploma in Civil Engineering but in my field, without a degree ,you cannot receive fair opportunities and with advancement in technology, job opportunities for people with just a diploma are decreasing.
In 2017,I started my BTech studies but my contract for the firm I worked for was not renewed as the company had financial problems so I could not complete my studies. This is the same company that funded my diploma.
My parents cater for 3 of my siblings making it virtually impossible for them to support me for accommodation and school fees.
This year(2019), I decided to go back to school with the money I make on a Network Marketing business but at the moment,it's only enough to cover my rent and groceries.
In total,I require R23 000 for school fees. R9200 is due by the end of this semester(30 June 2019).
I kindly ask for you to please help me achieve my goal.
The funds raised will be transferred to the Central University of Technology.
