Birthday Suits are Fun, but Everyone Deserves Undies

Campaign Story
For my birthday this year, I'd like $2.73.
Why? That's about what one pair of underwear costs in those 5-packs they sell... Here's the story: I volunteered at So Others Might Eat not too long ago. They are a nonprofit organization addresses poverty in Washington, DC by providing food, clothing, and healthcare services to the poor and homeless. That day, the volunteer leader gave us a tour of the facilities at the end of our volunteer shift and on the tour some one in our group asked, "What type of items does your organization need most? Eggs? Milk?" The volunteer leader's response was "Underwear."
No one should go without underwear.
(...well, unless they want to...I meeean #Murica)
So, you in?!
Will you give $2 for undies?
(...like many of us, this silly website only deals in round numbers)
Let's talk details: This is an honest micro-fundraiser for people in need in the community where I live. I define "honest micro-fundraiser" as 100% of money YOU contribute/donate will go towards the purchase of underwear and "micro" because it's only 7 days long.**Update: I never expected the amazing response this micro-fundraiser received! What a blessing!! Because of its success and the interest this has generated, I have extended this micro-fundraiser to July 16th 11:59pm UTC, a 21 day fundraiser!**Your online donation will go to a PayPal account. A small transaction fee is taken off your donation when you contribute through this site, therefore, I will cover those charges from my own pocket, along with a separate monetary donation of my own. I will also cover the sales tax on the purchase from my own pocket. Again,100% of the money donated here will be used to buy underwear for people who need it. The underwear donation will be delivered to So Others Might Eat. This fundraising campaign was self-initiated.
Lastly........Participation is optional, my sweet friends. :) I acknowledge there are ways you can help support people in need directly with a charity or non-profit. This little fundraiser is something I'm doing for the greater good around the time of my birthday because, why not?! I fully embrace your independence (...it's probably why we are friends!). So, to help those who want to forge their own donation path, here is a list of non-profits that address the issues of poverty in the District of Columbia where you can donate any amount directly to the non-profit:

Hey Tammy! I love this. I sent you several emails on doing the thank you cards. Let me know asap if you are interested in doing them - I may still be able to get them in on the current print run, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to get them for probably 2 months. Thanks for all you do for our homeless neighbors. Reed

This amazing fundraiser reminded me of the time someone misspelled "pantries" in the CCAM minutes and talked about the importance of "keeping our panties clean and orderly." :P
