I Am.....

Hello all. My name is Jessie Pou. I am a 60 plus year old woman living alone in Orangeburg, SC. That was a little about myself but this is not about me. It is about Mopsy.

Meet Mopsy

Mopsy is a male Schnoodle that lives next door(about 80 yards) to me for the past couple months. He is being cared for by my neighbor. I say he "is being cared for" because the neighbor was given the dog by his sister. She moved for one reason or another and ended up leaving the dog to him. He apparently wasn't expecting to own a dog because of how Mopsy is living. He is a small dog that is kept tied to a tree, way out in the back yard. He gets no human contact except for when I go on my daily walks through the wooded trails. I stop and play with him for a few minutes a day. Sometimes I take him water. He is a very sweet dog. A little shy at first but he has grown to like me. My neighbor only goes back there to feed the dog. I know this because earlier during a conversation about Mopsy, I asked him why was he(the dog) kept so far from the house and his response was "I ain't got time to hear him barking every time he sees me come out of the house". I know for myself that the dog yelps or gets excited because he wants attention. During the same conversation, I find out that the dog is housebroken but not allowed inside, ever! He also doesn't even remember what his sister said the dog's name was. He said his sister told him but he doesn't remember. So I call him Mopsy. As far as I can tell, the dog is being fed but the conditions in wich he is living are horrible. He lives outside, tied to a tree with a transport kennel as his only shelter from the elements. I fill his water dish daily. I never see any water in it unless i put it there. I am the dog's only

Why I'm Here

I approached my neighbor about selling me the dog. He said he would sell it but for $200. I started to tell him he was crazy. He barely pays the dog any attention. I figured he would almost give it to me because it would make life easier for him, but it didn't work that way. He refuses to take any less than $200 because "it's a Schnoodle". His words, not mine. I really want and need this little dog. I live alone and Mopsy will make an excellent indoor pet for me. We have already bonded. I was also told that the dog was/is housebroken at the time he took possesion. That is another plus. I will walk him everyday with me. He can be my walking buddy. Mopsy also needs grooming, vet care and some supplies to make his stay with me as pleasant as possible. Please help me get him from this cruel situation and bring him home with me. Thanks in advance.
