Unbinder Trilogy

To help with final editing, publishing, and promotion of my dark fantasy/horror trilogy - UNBINDER.

The UNBINDER Trilogy is a dark fantasy/horror set on a distant world. BOOK 1: EBON’S RISE depicts the rise of Ebon, principle villain of all three books. In the first book, he starts out with a group of friends in training under the benevolent King Edwards. When he gets humiliated in a fight amongst his friends, it drives him to his darker side, where he seeks out the dark half of the weave of magic. He quickly grows to understand its power and ultimately loses his soul in the pursuit. Gehdra and his younger brother Terren, conscripted by the king along with some of the other barbarians of the desert nomads, trained to serve as his elite guard. The sibling rivalry between the two brothers is intense because Terren refuses to give his elder brother the respect he demands. The rivalry heats up when both of them fall in love with the beautiful Princess Sarah, but she chooses only one of them. Wars are waged over trade routes and deals brokered for peace. In a treaty that is sure to unite two kingdoms and strengthen the region, Sarah is married to the prince of another kingdom. A few months of peace ensue, amid rumors of a new army gathering strength in the North, and a powerful new wizard destroying all of the Weavers and taking their abilities. When news reaches Illian that Princess Sarah has become the target of Lord Ebon’s designs, King Edwards sends her, her husband, along with the two barbarian brothers, and Arian, his trusted personal Weaver, to Arian’s Keep. Little were they aware of that Lord Ebon had located the Book of Legends and was there waiting with a trap.

In BOOK 2: DRAGON’S FURY, Lord Ebon has just conquered Illian, laid to ruin most of the good works King Edward established, and imprisoned many of the local people to feed his ravenous army. Sarah, already a widow for three years, would be queen of Illian for only one day, sacrificing her life to protect the life of her young son, Prince Thomas, from an errant dagger. Terren, having survived the attack by losing consciousness in the final moments of the fall, had vowed to end his life with one final run at Ebon during his celebration feast. One last look into Sarah’s dying eyes changed his mind. He now had to find a way to free her son from Lord Ebon and restore him to the kingdom. Lord Ebon had the Book of Legends in his possession, a book that told him of many important things that would help him become even more powerful and find immortality. It also spoke to him of things that would stand in his way to achieve those goals. So began the great dragon hunt, for he feared the final day of the battle for Traum, they would descend upon his great army and decimate it in a fiery cataclysm. With his control over the Weave, he Spoke to the minds of the dragons and caused them all to gather for their doom. He succeeded in destroying all but one. That dragon, full of rage for the loss of his kind, relentlessly attacked Ebon and his army at random.

In BOOK 3: DARK LORD’S REIGN, we find that all of Traum is struggling to survive Ebon’s wrath. He has lost all of his humanity in the quest for the Dark Eye and transformed into the sinister Dark Lord, a malevolent being feeding off the souls of the tormented. With every move, he gains power and control over the Weave, continuing to absorb and master the powers of the Weavers he destroys, whether good or bad. Meanwhile, Prince Thomas continues to live, though he has been recaptured, and now faces even harsher forms of torture as the Dark Lord impatiently waits for his 12^th birthday, the date Arian had told him of many years before. A daring rescue frees him from the dungeons and reunites him with all of his friends who want to help him. He becomes a beacon of hope to the last of the people fighting for their lives and ultimately discovers that he is the Unbinder, the last Weaver in the world. He must ultimately face Ebon alone for the Battle of Traum.
