Un-paid time off

My husband currently works through a temp service who forced him to take a week off of work for July fourth without pay. So this Friday we will not have a paycheck and will not be able to pay our bills that will be due. We are completely stressed to the max and currently do not know what to do. He's been applying for jobs everyday to hopefully find a more stable job but at the time we have to take what we can get. I hate asking but with two kids it's hard to make it on such a low income ecspecially when that income gets cut short like this.
