Umrah for the victims after the attack on the Al Noor mosque in Norway

Etter terrorangrepet på Al Noor-moskeen lørdag 10/8/2019 ønsker vi å samle inn penger til ofrene som var på stedet da angrepet fant sted. Det har fremkommet at det var tre eldre menn i moskeen i det angrepet startet, og at det var en av disse som overmannet terroristen og fikk kontroll på han. Forstanderen ved moskeen kom også til stedet og hjalp til med å overmanne terroristen, og han virket tydelig berørt og i sjokk i ulike intervjuer i etterkant.

Vi takker først og fremst Allah swt for at ingen liv gikk tapt, men ønsker å vise solidaritet med de berørte etter en slik traumatisk opplevelse. Denne pengeinnsamlingen skal inshaAllah i sin fulle helhet gå til å dekke umrah-kostnader for de fire individene som var i moskeen under terrorangrepet (totalt 60 000 kr), og eventuelt overskytende beløp vil gå direkte til Al Noor-moskeen. Vi har også en dialog med ulike umrah-operatører for å få sponset deler av turen for disse fire.

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

After the terror attack at Al Noor Mosque in Norway on Saturday 10/8/2019, we want to raise money for the victims who were at the site when the attack took place. It has emerged that there were three elderly men in the mosque at the start of the attack, and that it was one of them who engaged in a scuffle with the terrorist and got control of him. Chairman of the mosque also arrived at the site and helped taking control over the situation before police arrived. He seemed clearly affected and in shock in interviews afterwards.

First and foremost, we thank Allah swt that no lives were lost, but would like to show solidarity with those affected after such a horrific and traumatic experience. This fundraiser will inshaAllah in full go to cover the umrah costs for the four individuals who were in the mosque during the terror attack (total of 60 000 NOK), and any excess amount will go directly to the Al Noor mosque. We also have a dialogue with umrah operators in Norway to get portions of the umrah expenses sponsored by them.
