Ultrasound for a urology department reassessment in Libya

Dear All,

After spending some years in the healthcare sector in Libya, with a group of surgeons and professors we decided to setup a reassessment project for a urology department.

The team is very brilliant, but all their equipment is obsolete, nearly 15 years old each. They are not able to perform any modern surgery according to thelack of equpment which is sad for the sake of the patients.

Apart the equipment, the project contains also a training program, some of the surgeons will have to travel in Europe for some hands-on sessions.

The project counts 2 ORs (5'000 surgeries per year), an OPD (7'000 patients per year) and an Inpatients section (100 beds).

Every cent counts now to setup this project as it will takes place in a public hospital; which means free of charge; this will bring a great benefit for the patients.

We need your help for the procurement of 2 ultrasounds dedicated for the urology for the OPD and also 2 other units of the Operating Rooms with urology and cardiology features including intraoperative probes. So, we are talking about 4 units which includes also the spare parts for the maintenance and the service, all-inclusive for 2 years on the field. to finance one already would be great, and would already be of a great help for the libyans heatlh system.
