I hope this message finds you and your family well. I am happy to tell you that I am doing fine and keeping busy as the semester comes to a close. I will be graduating from The University of Alabama the Spring of 2014, with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with concentrations in fitness, business, and nutrition. My future plan is to attend graduate school in Management after I finish my undergrad. As some of you know, I am an Alumnus of The University of Alabama's track team, and through Track and Field, I have become involved with Athletes in Action. Athletes in Action has helped me grow tremendously in my relationship with God, as well as given me numerous opportunities that I am truly blessed and thankful for.
This summer, I have the opportunity to go to Fort Collins, Colorado and Intern at the Ultimate Training Camps (UTC). Athletes in Action is the athletic ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Past UTC participants have a unique opportunity to return to camp in a leadership position as camp interns. As an intern, I would play a key role in staffing the camps by leading small group interaction, meeting one-on-one with camp participants, and helping athletes learn and apply Biblical principles of athletic competition.
You can be part of this exciting adventure with me! Each intern of the Ultimate Training Camp is asked to raise $1,195, representing a portion of the camp expense. Along with the $1,195 for camp, I will be raising money for my travel expenses as well. I am trying to raise all my needed funds by May 15th.
Would you prayerfully consider financially investing some amount to help meet this need? This is a unique opportunity for you and I to partner in reaching people with the love of Christ!
I am looking forward to the challenges to grow in my faith and being equipped with ministry and leadership skills. It is my desire to become equipped to have an impact for Christ in athletics, on campus, and in the future wherever God leads me. My personal goals for this internship experience include deepening my relationship with God, learning how to share my faith more effectively, and learning how to make an impact within my community after I return. This will require a great investment of my time and energy.
I value and appreciate your prayers and time. Thank you for considering being a part of this opportunity.
