ULLA TEMPLE H2O PROJECT

WATER brings LIFE! GIVING brings GOODNESS! GIVING WATER brings GOODNESS 2 LIFE!

Running water is so often taken for granted. If you have ever gone without it, then you gain a higher appreciation for it. Many of us are fortunate to have running water, but many of us equally, do not have this luxury.

There is 1 monk currently residing at our local temple in Ulla, Arugam Bay, Sri Lanka. For him, to have daily water is a true luxury as there is no running water system there. Normal daily routines for health & wellness are a challenge. For example; eating, drinking, bathing, washing clothes, growing healthy vegetables & keeping the temple area clean. There are also many trees and other sacred plants that need tending to. Without water it is difficult to keep the plants healthy & happy as the area is naturally very dry most of the year.

All of the water is brought in from outside sources & kept in jugs. For life at the temple it is common for other monks to visit for an extended stay. But because of the lack of water, it is difficult to attract others to come and stay to perform good works. These are just a few challenges the Monk faces daily without having the luxury of running water.

We began the Ulla Temple Water Project to support the temple, the monk who resides there & the surrounding area of Arugam Bay, Sri Lanka, by performing good works and bringing more life & goodness to our area & also giving back to nature.

With you help, we are constructing a tube well. This will bring so much life to the temple through the luxury of a running water system.
