Ukrainian Women Stuck in Peru

Hello, my name is Juliia Baibakova and I am with a group of 9 Ukrainian women (myself included) and we are stuck in Peru. All of our cash reserves are running out and tonight is our last payed night at our hotel. The airline said we will not get any refund for our flights home that have been canceled, they can only reschedule the flights after April 30th. We will not be evacuated for free by the Ukrainian government, either. They told us at the Ukrainian embassy that the only option for us is to hire a private charter, at our own expense, for a staggering price that none of us can afford, even with the help of strangers.

Currently, there are no flights out of Latin America, but when the airspace is open we will buy tickets but can’t imagine how much it will cost.

There are 9 of us here, all women. We are financially independent though right now we really need help, and all we want is to go home.
