Ukrainian family

Dealing with a extremely tough, life-changing situation, completely out of your control, is something we often not need to deal with. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful mum and 3 children from the Ukraine into our home for a short stay. They are now in their own accommodation in Stockholm but are planning to travel back home in August to be back with their dad (who chose to stay and fight for his country!), grandma and dogs, and not least to be back in their house, speaking their language and being where they feel at home. Something I'm sure we can all understand.

Yuliya, the mum of the family, is so strong and proud and has done a amazing job travelling with her children to Sweden and creating a positive environment for her children despite leaving her other family members behind to face the war. Her spirit, kindness and determined nature is truly an inspiration. On top of everything else she has recently lost her job, and struggling to find a job here.
