About a founder:

My name is Vira Babii, I am a founder of The SKELYA Charitable Foundation. I`ve been working with children since 90`s. Later, in 2000 with a help of a sponsor we could purchase an old building for our future camps. 20 years later our campus named “Vifania” became a beautiful resort/vocation place for many children, youth and even families. Our yearly projects depend on donations and sponsorships.

Project 2021. Story behind & motivation:

Society divides on people of different ages. Each of us goes through a life journey from birth to old-age… However, let us agree that the period of childhood and adolescence play a special role in human life. One grows not only physically, but one forms its worldview and one looks for its place in society. We believe, that properly laid values become the foundation of a successful future of every person. The international movement ROYAL RANGERS is about mentoring children and young people while implementing values that would help them now and in the future to reach their life goals. The SKELYA Charitable Foundation joined and started this movement in the city of Mukachevo in 2013 and is scheduled on weekly meetings and seasoned camps. The distinction of this movement is that the child has an opportunity to develop in four directions: physical, mental, social and spiritual. The program is designed in the form of various cognitive tests, through which the child learns about nature, life, survival-skills, how to appreciate family, friends, how to love their neighbors and homeland, respect for elders and others. The happiest time in the life of rangers are camps (summer and winter camps), where children apply their knowledge into practice and can enjoy their holidays time.

How it works:

Our team consists of leaders-volunteers who have undergone a specific training course. In order to participate in camps, financial security is required. Unfortunately, not every family has the financial opportunity to send a child to camp, so we have to seek for sponsorship, so no child would be missed. For now, we are raising finances for Royal Rangers` winter and summer camps of 2021. Based on the raised budget we will be able to take a certain amount of children from large and low-income families of our city.

How much it costs:

One child's stay in the camp costs 15 US $ a day.

The price includes:

- 4 meals a day

- workshops & sport materials

- accommodation & maintenance costs
