On the outskirts of the capital of what is called here “The pearl of Africa", a nonprofit organisation is fighting to be the change. Taking in children of the street, feeding them, providing shelter, education and support, trying to give them the necessary skills and tools to not just survive – but excel and be productive and prosperous in one of the harshest environments in the world.

The endless fight to end the stigma regarding HIV-AIDS, and to provide free medical care and support for the countless that have tested positive, has been one of the main goals of this organisation. They are boldly working with vulnerable single mothers, and especially street children (drug addicts, alcoholics I.e.7 year-old HIV positive alcoholic kid ) with back stories that would make your hair stand on end. The struggle is real. The effort is real...

A group of volunteers, coming from different corners of the world, is trying to join this small organisation in its effort to provide a better Future Uganda. Shaping today’s children - empowering them to be strong and independent - will undoubtedly create small, positive changes that will result in a better, more prosperous community.

We can not do it alone! You can also be part of the change. The general hygiene conditions are extremely poor. The children are “showering" when it rains, holding their glass for the raindrops to fill it up, and having little to no chance of eating something other than boiled flower with sugar for breakfast - unless a sincere hand reaches out to them. We need your help. Building a washroom/lavatory for these children is URGENT and IMPERATIVE, considering the likeliness of diseases related to poor hygiene. The shelter for the Vocational school has yet to be completed, and it immediately needs a roof before anything else. There are countless other things that these children would need, but we want to make sure that before we leave, they at least have the basics that they desperately need in order to start believing that they have a chance to be reintegrated into society and to create a bright, prosperous future for themselves and those around them.
