Uganda sewing school project

Hi All,

In August i will be taking part in The East African Missionary Society. I will be going out there to poineer a new project, for the TEAMS sewing school and enterpeise programme SEAMS. 

The sewing school started in 2000, by  a woman called  Rosalind. She has a background in textlies and felt strongly about starting a school in the local village Gulu, Uganda. Since the school started it has had an impact on many young individuals and given them the skills that they need. Just last year,the school sat its first goverment end of year  exams, after they graduate from the school, SEAMS as an enterprise is there to provide futher trianing for the graduates  to start up their own business.

I am going to set up a new project with the sewing school in Gulu . The concept is to design new bags with the use of social media to help commercalize the school.By designing these bags it will hopefully appeal to the mass market.  Social media will become the main promtional tool for  this project. Hopefully with this new venture  it will help to provide more funds and equiptment for the school.

So far,i have managed  to raise £713 the  total of the ticket is £2,000. Please help support the work i am  doing by taking a selfie of yourself with your favourite bag and by using the hastag #uganda2014 #mybagselfie   so we can spread the word.
