Campaign Story
Unley Concert Band is humbled and proud to have been invited to attend the dedication of a new Avenue of Honour in Pozieres, France, in April 2021. Avenues of Honour are found all around the world and are tree lined thoroughfares and enduring commemorations of a nation's military service. The Pozieres project will create a Centennial ANZAC Memorial Avenue along a public road in the Somme to commemorate Australians who died in France during WWI, in a place more densely sown with Australian sacrifice than any other place on earth.
Unley Concert Band aims to raise $25,000 to offset the significant outlay associated with such a tour.
