As most are aware just prior to Christmas, Typhoon Odette ravaged the tourism belt of the Philippines with winds over 300km/h and torrential fall of 500mm+ rains across a 24 hour onslaught, completely destroying communities across the greater region.

SHAKA has its 3 founding locations central within this belt - Siargao, Bohol and Moalboal all catching the eye of the typhoon.
Our concerns over our establishments are inferior to the concerns of the welfare of our people and these communities we call home!

Any monetary donation is appreciated, all money raised will go back to rebuilding homes and shelters as well as providing basic necessities across the region.
Full transparency reports will be provided with 100% funding to be allocated for the rehabilitation of these islands!

We humbly appeal to everyone that came and took a piece of The Philippines home with them from a vacation, a surf trip, honeymoon or backpacking adventure, that now can you give a little back and help rebuild paradise?

We thank you with all our heart 🖤

  • Hi guys, What a horrible thing to experience. I hope this donation can go someway to help rebuilding the houses of the staff and helping make bread through Kawayan to help the locals. Hats off to you for organising and getting things going. Trent
