TWO targets, ONE arrow

The Purpose

South Korea and Japan are two developed countries which were my dream since I was a kid. I adore they lifestyle and how they appreciate nature. They built their own place of living in a short time after world war II and this is amazing for me. As an Architect and Urban regeneration specialist, it's very important to study people's life. I want to live with people, to understand their thoughts, their lifestyle. I'm willing to go to the public spaces to experiment the urban life myself. This is the way to touch the real life. This is the only way to recognize strength and weaknesses of a place, to bold opportunities and to build a strategic plan for a better place to live. This is my duty, to completely recognize then be creative and it won't happen until I touch the culture myself.

On the other side, this trip is too exciting for me because it’s my childhood dream... But it's too expensive!!!! for an student with strong passion to try and learn... yet it is a dream however what is dream is about to come true and what you believe will happen!

Background & Experience

To be honest, anyone passionate about a better life with specialty in the architecture and urban spaces is the right one for this trip! and I'm one of them. I have done similar trips before when I went to Yazd & Isfahan in Iran, Jakarta in Indonesia and Jaresh in Jordan.

• Well Indonesia was my first overseas backpack travel and it was a big step for me. Before that I have traveled to many cities in my country and done local surveys.

• In Indonesia, I lived with a family in a very poor part of Jakarta, went to their weekly church gathering, played with them, went to the many parts of city with them and done researches about the recent regeneration projects there. Unfortunately I don't have a team with me, and why I said unfortunately because I believe team work always results better! but I will do it myself and continue to do research with local people.

Funding Details

I will need $2000 for this trip, $1000 for flight (economic fare cost) and another $800 for living cost for two weeks including:

• food ($200 in fare food courts),
• transportation ($100 for subway, buses, trains and any other transportation facilities for two weeks),
• Entries to historic places, local performances and any other activities ($500 for both countries).

As I'm visiting two expensive countries in two weeks I guess this fund would be enough regarding my schedule. I will not pay for accommodation as I'm planning to live in a local people houses to reach my goal, but I've put $200 in case of not finding a local room accommodation which will make the living cost $1000 totally.
