Wedding For Two Dreamers

Update posted by LauraBeth Scibetta On Dec 02, 2015

So, is this just one of those things that works great for some people but not for us? We will marry in 5 months and thankfully, we have a church, a possibly wedding gown, people willing to be in the wedding and come to it, but absolutely ZERO FUNDING from anyone. Hope to see some sort of donations at some point.

Something I always wanted to have in my wedding was an arch, a chuppah, something to stand under as a symbol of covering. I determined this time I have having one! I thought I'd need to buy one but after looking on Youtube and Pintrest I found some great ideas for using the many branches that have fallen in our yard to make my own rustic-looking arch. It so happens that I have some fenching lying in the yard as well which I can wind twigs and flowers into.

After our daily frisbee game yesterday, Mathew helped me gather some sticks and twigs to begin the arch construction. We put them in the shed to dry and are waiting to see if we are sent silk flowers to adorn the arch with over the next months before our special day. It will be neat to see the various styles of blooms that come to us and put them strategically around our wedding venue, arch, and in our wedding party's hands. Can't wait.

No matter how things turn out, this day is going to be wonderful because I'm marrying the love of my life and people I love are celebrating with us!

Yes, it's true. October will soon be past and there will only be 7 months till our BIG DAY! Can't believe it!

I think I might opt to pick my bouquet from some fresh flowers along the road maybe, not sure. I will buy my wedding dress from Craigs List most likely. The wedding venue is our yard, which is HUGE so that won't be a problem. Single silk flowers for the matrons, and flower petals discarded from a local flower shop or even from the ones on the side of the road. Going very simple. Dishes to pass will work well too. Wedding PICNIC!

Excited. Anticipating...Getting in shape physically!

Mat and I go outside every day and throw the Aerobie Disk to each other...great way to burn those calories on time to fit in a wedding gown. Hoping I can buy a gown before the wedding or I will be wearing my dress from wedding #2 and I prefer not to.

Haven't had any donations and that's ok. Regardless, I will be getting married. Donations just make us able to afford a bit nicer wedding. We appreciate everyone who reads our updates, donates or just browses. Thank you for your time.

Yes, when you are together all the time, you share EVERYTHING eventually...even ILLNESS! He started with the stuffy nose, runny nose, stomach pains, vomiting. Now, it's my turn, minus the vomiting. We both just feel like lying around today.

In spite of illness, my beautiful man made us grilled cheese sandwiches. I will be cooking for him for dinner and making him a dessert he never had before...Cassada cake! (It's like a canoli-filled cake with chocolate chips. Can't wait. Fun to make and eat!

Thanks again for checking out my fund-site.

Today, October 10th, marks mine and Mathew's 11 month-a-versary. That means we've been together since November 10, 2014 the day we met. In that time, we have learned so much about each other. He hates being late, plan changes, snoring, rudeness, and people narrating his programs because they've seen them first. He's learned that I hate not knowing every detail about things that are important to me, am an incurable romantic, stubborn, impatient, and someone who gets done what I say I will do.

We started our relationship out each having a therapist and we also see each others' therapists together. We are going to start premarital meetings through church soon too.

He has never been married and I have done this twice already. I'm way more cautious than he is and he doesn't understand why. It's going to be an interesting journey but we are great at communicating with each other so I'm sure it will be fulfilling for us both in the end.!

Mathew proposed to me on September 11, 2015 and I've been planning since then.

We both have talked to family and friends to put people into positions in our wedding party, picked the venue (our yard), the minister (our mentor), found a cake person, makeup and hair person (my daughter is a cosmetologist and cake decorator), and found out who would be definitely coming.

I went to Hobby Lobby today and gathered up some blooms; took photos of various bouquets and finally found the arrangement I love! I am making my own for this wedding. I want this time to be the last and the best!!!

Join us on our journey toward The Big Day!

P.S. Let me know what you think of my bouquet idea. I will be hot gluing pearls and shiny things and wrapping a ribbon/bow around it too! Can't wait to get started!

About to get married for the third time. Sadly, first marriage was abusive and neglectful, second one, he ended up in jail, this one HAS to be IT for me! I want it to be the BEST!!!
