We are partners that has worked, taught, and befriended with the less fortunate side of the population in Hong Kong. Most families that has lower incomes and lives in a tiny place in such high costs sometimes don't eat proper meals just to be able to send their kids to a tutorial centre with the hopes of their children raising them away from poverty. We aim to provide a much more affordable tutorial centre (especial for English Language subject) for these families with the aim of lessening their tight budget.
Not only we would target Kindergarten to High school local students and some ethnic minority students. We will also offer some lesson for adult one on one lesson.
Education is one of the key elements to improve living quality, so good education is always needed. We will register the center after more students has registered, as well as rent a bigger place if needed.
The short term goals certainly will payback and improve our teaching methods. For payback, we will need more promotion of our center. For improvement of teaching methods, we need to study every student to understand what their weakness and base on that, we can modify our teaching material.
The long term goals are renting another place only for English lesson. We only hire native English speaking teachers, that can give a better learning atmosphere to students. Starting from students’ long term benefit.
The competition between schools and students in Hong Kong is growing thus, the need for extra education providers are growing. Interviews for primary schools are now becoming more competitive therefore the stress on the kindergarten students are being emphasized through their cognitive in English and Mathematics skills in which local kindergarten schools are lacking of leading the parents to send their kids to tutorial Centers.
The ethnic minorities are growing large in numbers but with very limited job fields due to their lack of language skills. Language courses offered outside are usually high in cost and therefore a percentage in this group chooses not to take the course. By offering affordable courses, this will give them the opportunity to master the language and being able to expand their careers in the future.
The university entry is becoming very challenging as well and parents are sending their kids to tutorial Centre for a pre S1 course.
In Kwai Chung district, there are not much native English speaker to offer English courses to these students therefore this factor can be used as one of the selling point. The marketing niche in this service will be focused on education, specifically students of kindergartens, primary and secondary students and the ethnic minority students. A small pool of leads will be leading the service in a compromised timing and schedule.
