Hi! We are Gekko Films, a group of final year students from Institute of Technical Education doing our Final Year Project. Our film aims to spread awareness about giving ex-offenders a second chance in the society. What is interesting about the film is that we are incorporating Cooking in the film to show the bond within Alan's family.
Narrative Drama, Family, Action
Alan finds himself in a disarray after he was caught selling drugs, As an ex-offender he must now turn his life, find a job and support his family.
Alan a middle aged man who is a middle class man working hard for an
underpaid job. Alan’s stress from work resulted him to neglect his bill
and his daughter Stella's school fee payments on time, his wife often
argues with him just to remind him to pay on time. As desperate as he
can be, Alan decided to take on illegal jobs from his friend David to
earn large sum of money quickly but he was soon caught by the
authorities. As Alan was released from his sentence, Alan found an
Social Enterprise which help him in his training and employment which
resulted him to work a job to his liking, being a Cook at a eatery in
the present day.
